At the Folk School of Chattanooga, you can learn to play an instrument, participate in a jam, experience a performance, network with other musicians, and explore the rich musical traditions of our region and our planet.
Each contribution--no matter how small--helps us maintain our building and our musical/educational programming in Chattanooga. Thank you for being part of our community!
Lessons
The teachers at the Folk School of Chattanooga offer private lessons for banjo, fiddle, guitar, dobro, pedal steel guitar, upright bass, Irish flute, tin whistle, singing, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, and mandolin.
We teach many genres of music, including old-time Appalachian, bluegrass, gospel, and Celtic.
Lesson fee is $80 per month for weekly, half-hour lessons.
